Instructions

Step 1: Tune your radio to the the broadcast your want to delay without having the RadioInSync Cable plugged in.

Step 2: Plug the 4-conductor male end of the RadioInSync cable into your iPhone/iPad.

Step 3: Plug the 2-conductor male end of the RadioInSync cable into the headphone out on your radio.

Step 4: Open the RadioInSync app, you should see + and - adjustment buttons.

Note: When you have the delay set and you are tuned in, we recommend that you let the system sit still, as to not affect the radio signal.

If you are a visual person, this is an example of a RadioInSync configuration on game day:

How to Set the Proper Delay

Once you can hear the radio through the speaker, adjust the delay through the RadioInSync App. This is mostly estimation, but you can get very close to perfection. We recommend estimating the delay first and adjusting the app. Then, listen for a whistle on TV when the Referee is on the screen or identify any sound to determine if more or less delay is needed and make the corresponding changes.

Listening Wirelessly Using Bluetooth (New September 2014)

You can use RadioInSync via Bluetooth.  But there is some additional complexity and you need to purchase a separate Bluetooth transmitter.

Disclaimer: This is just advice, we can't test all Bluetooth speakers and transmitters. Nor can we offer support helping setting up these devices, as we are not selling them. We actually listen to games with a wireless Bluetooth speaker. This feature is just a recommendation, nothing is mandatory here.

Product Suggestions:

Wireless Bluetooth Speaker: Jawbone Big Jambox or Mini Jambox (Jawbone Website Link). It's a great speaker that we often use for personal use. Bose, Turtle Shell, and other brands should work too.

Bluetooth Transmitter: TaoTronics® TT-BA01 Wireless Portable Bluetooth Stereo Music Transmitter (Amazon Link).  This is just one of many Bluetooth transmitters that we have tested.  Be sure that any device you buy is a Bluetooth Transmitter, not just a receiver.  There are also many devices that do both functions, so they should work.

General Setup Steps:

The steps are very similar to the above steps, except for the Bluetooth pairing, and plugging in the transmitter instead of the speaker.

Step 1: Pair the Bluetooth transmitter device with your wireless speaker. There should be instructions with your setup’s specific details with your transmitter and speaker.

Step 2: Tune your radio to the the broadcast your want to delay without having the RadioInSync Cable plugged in.

Step 3: Plug the 4-conductor male end of the RadioInSync cable into your iPhone/iPad.

Step 4: Plug the 2-conductor male end of the RadioInSync cable into the headphone out on your radio.

Step 5: Plug the Bluetooth Transmitter into the female jack of the RadioInSync cable.

Step 6: Open the RadioInSync app, you should see + and - adjustment buttons.

If you can hear the audio on the speaker, and adjust the delay on your iPhone/iPad you will be in business!
